recipe Feb 10, 2025

If you love Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups as much as I do, you’re going to be obsessed with these homemade Reese’s Hearts. They’re so easy to make and taste just like the real thing—maybe even better! Plus, they’re the perfect treat for Valentine’s Day (or honestly, any day you want a little sweet indulgence). Trust me, once you try them, you’ll be hooked!

Here’s how to make these delicious peanut butter hearts at home:

 Reese’s Peanut Butter Heart Recipe

 Ingredient:

 1 stick salted butter, softened

2 cups creamy peanut butter (I love using creamy honey roasted peanut butter for extra flavor!)

  1 box powdered sugar

  1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

 1. Mix the Peanut Butter Dough:

In a large bowl, combine the softened butter, creamy peanut butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Mix until you get a play-dough-like consistency.

 2. Shape the Hearts:

Roll out the peanut butter mixture on parchment paper and use a heart-shaped cookie cutter (or your hands) to shape the dough into hearts. Place the hearts on a lined baking sheet.

 3. Chill the Hearts:

Pop them in the fridge or freezer for about 30 minutes until they’re firm enough to handle.

 4. Dip in Chocolate:

Melt high-quality dipping chocolate or candy melts (avoid using regular chocolate chips—they don’t coat as well). Dip each peanut butter heart in the melted chocolate and place them back on parchment or wax paper.

 5. Let Them Harden & Enjoy:

Allow the chocolate to harden at room temperature or in the fridge. Once set, they’re ready to enjoy!

Tips for the Best Homemade Reese’s Hearts:

Use high-quality dipping chocolate for the smoothest, most professional finish.

Chill the hearts long enough so they don’t fall apart when dipping.

Customize the shapes for different holidays—use eggs for Easter or trees for Christmas!

These homemade peanut butter hearts make a great gift, party treat, or late-night snack. They’re so easy to whip up, and they disappear fast! Let me know if you try them and how they turn out!
